Rain la pluie 비 雨
오늘 내린 이 많은 비는 내 마음에 흐르는 눈물이 아니라
미래를 향해 날아 오른 소중한 친구의 앞날을 축복하기 위해 하늘의 문이 열린 것이다.
더 넓은 하늘에서 잘 지내고 있어.
나도 언젠가 곧 높이 멀리 날아 오를테니 그 때 서쪽 하늘에서 만나자.
It rained a lot today and it was not tears leaking from my heart
but an open gate to the sky to bless my precious friend’s upcoming days,
who flew high up towards his future.
Hey, please take good care in the wider sky there.
I will too fly high and away someday soon and then let us see each other in the West sky.

좀 뜬금없는 댓글이지만, 본문 중 ‘언제가 곧’이라는 표현이라 계속 눈에 밟혀서 몇자 적는다.
3 June 2008, 5:08 am국어표현에 ‘언제가 곧’이라는 말이 있나? 궁금해서 사전을 찾아봤는데 없다.
단순히 ‘someday soon’을 우리말로 직역해 옮긴거냐?
갑자기 저게 눈에 밟혀서 몇자 적어봤다.

이런 댓글도 환영한다. 위의 경우는 한글로 생각이 먼저 떠올라서 쓴 것이기 때문에 직역한 것은 아니다. 하지만 네가 그렇게 말하니까 우리말에는 원래 없는데 영어 때문에 익숙해져서 쓰는 말인가 싶어 각각의 뜻을 찾아봤더니 ‘언젠가’는 두 개의 의미 중 하나가 ‘미래의 어느 때’라고 하네. 그렇다면 가까운 미래도 있는 거니까 ‘언젠가 곧’이라고도 쓸 수 있지 않나 생각해본다. 만약 잘못된 사용이라면 알려다오.
