A Sunday Afternoon in the Park

As I wrote in my previous post, one of the reasons I chose this neighbourhood as a place to live is its close access to nature because being close to the environment is a crucial element for living my life, which gives me physical and spiritual space to pause and get refreshed.

I spent the first Sunday in my neighbourhood at ‘The Woluwe Park (Le parc de Woluwe)’ and it was a perfect decision.

Sunday Without Cars
As the 21st of September was ‘Sunday without Cars’ (you can see the sign ’21 Sept: Dimanche sans voiture’ on the photo), I was lucky even to avoid from cars.

Sunday Without Cars
It is said the conditions for bike riding in Belgium is improving, but normally it’s very hard to see children riding bicycles on the street.

Parc de Woluwe
This photo shows just one fourth of the field and I walked from one end to another on my bare feet, which felt so great!

Thanks! Your town has very beautiful places too. I do hope to visit you some day. I learn a lot about American family life from your blog and I really enjoy it!

I love going to parks. That’s something that I really miss in Europe. You’re talking about nice parks not just any parks.

  4. Sunkyoung:

Yes, they should be nice. I really need to discover more parks in Brussels.
