Aw pity! I won't be there 'til the 26th. After reading your blog I feel like I want to meet you!! :)

Your routes to Luxembourg will probably be ok. Since the original disruption two weeks ago, mainland Europe has not been affected. Just here in Ireland was closed for two days this week (because it is closer to Iceland). Have a nice holiday!

Thanks for your comment, Kevin. You're absolutely right with the description about Brussels, where solitude and bustling can co-exist.

I'm stopping over in Amsterdam to see my friend on my way to Luxembourg next weekend. Hope there will be no disruption on our routes.

Hi Sunkyoung,

I enjoyed reading about Brussels:-) I was there two years ago. A funny city ... crazy juxtapositions of old European buildings and modern skyscrapers. And, also, one part of the centre is crowded with people but, if you walk a short distance, there are no people at all! (But maybe it was just like that at the time I was there.)

I'm going to the Netherlands later this month - to Amsterdam and the Hague. I hope there will be no problem with the flights. This week, in my country, flights were disrupted again because of the volcanic ash from Iceland ...

Yes, but it was Hollywood that turned them into a film animation and that's why you took it for granted that the smurfs live in an American forest, like Care Bears, in your childhood. (I read your blog post on them the other day. ;-)) I had also thought most of the TV animations I watched when I was a kid were all Korean ones and I was really shocked and disapponited like everyone else in my generation, when it turned out that they are actually made in Japan.

Hi Sunkyoung

Nice post I really enjoyed it.
Sinterklaas is not really a bigger event than Christmas but for the children it is because they get presents and candy.
In my days it was not so funny because some children, including me, had sleepless nights worriing about maybe not being a nice and sweet kid, the punishment was really terrible. Oh well maybe I tell you about it later.
